Equipped with an outer ring with a spherical raceway surface and an inner ring which holds two rows of barrel-shaped rolling elements, spherical roller bearings can adjust center alignment to handle inclination of the axle or shaft.
Spherical roller bearings are available with cylindrical or tapered bores, and can have different features such as bronze or steel retainers and with or without oil holes. Standard sizes range from 90mm inside diameter to 1820 mm outside diameter. Spherical roller bearing standard series consist of: 21300, 22200, 22300, 23000, 23100, 23200, 23900, 24000, 24100.

Multiple cage designs are available.

Spherical roller bearings with hardened steel cages deliver greater fatigue strength, increased wear-resistance and tougher protection against shock and acceleration.

Spherical roller bearings with brass cages provide extra strength and durability in the most unrelenting conditions, including extreme shock and vibration, high acceleration forces and minimal lubrication.

Spherical roller bearings are available with a cylindrical bore for cylindrical type mounting, a tapered bore for tapered type mounting. To order tapered bore spherical roller bearing, add the suffix “K” ( 1:12 )or “K30” ( 1:30 ) to bearing number (e.g., 23152K, 24172CAK30).

An oil groove and holes are provided in the outer ring to supply lubricant and the bearing numbers are suffixed “W33”.
